What happens when a cook picks up a camera?

As an artist I've taken a 20 year NYC restaurant career and a lifelong love of food and art and used them as inspiration to create the abstract images you see here. My process is simple. I start with food, a finished dish. Either homemade or chef prepared. That dish is then photographed, collaged, digitally reinterpreted and artistically enhanced to create something entirely new. Something never seen before. Revealing the hidden in the familiar... 

I call these resulting images Culinary Cubist Abstractions.
